FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is it safe to connect my bank?
Yes. Finlay uses open banking through FCA-regulated partners, the same technology your banking apps use. Access is read-only, so Finlay can see transactions but can't move money, and you can disconnect at any time.
Which apps does Finlay work in?
WhatsApp and iMessage at launch, with a monthly report by email. We're looking at Signal and Telegram next.
Which banks are supported?
Almost every major UK bank and building society, plus most credit cards, through open banking.
How much will it cost?
We're still working out pricing. The aim is simple: Finlay should save you many times what it costs. People on the waitlist will get early access and founding-member pricing.
How does Finlay make money?
Sometimes a provider pays us a referral fee when you switch. We always tell you when that's the case, and Finlay will still recommend a better option even if we earn nothing from it.
Is this financial advice?
No. Finlay gives guidance and finds offers you might be missing. For regulated advice on things like pensions or investments, it'll point you to a qualified professional.
